The Purpose of This Site
This web site exists for the purpose of promoting a return to revival in our churches. Today, revival meetings are becoming a thing of the past and in my opinion a good part of the reason churches are not experiencing spiritual renewal in the pews. We have come to the place of grasping for straws, trying new programs and methods, often the methods of the world, to get the people into the church house. I am not opposed to new things, if they work. But we are continuing to move further and further away from what the Holy Scripture gives us as God's scriptural plan. He clearly gives us a simple formula for revival found in II Chronicles 7:14. The scripture says, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
So, God has burdened my heart lately on the subject of revival. I still believe we can have revival. God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. He still hates sin, still loves the sinner; and still has power to save, and He still wants to bless his people, if we will only give him that option. The problem is, we live in a day when many in our society have come to the place of believing you can educate or rehabilitate the sinner out of sin. But according to the scripture, the only thing that will change a person's behavior is a changed heart. And, the only thing that can change a heart is Holy God!
That being said, I have dedicated the rest of my life to trying to lead our church and encourage other pastors and churches toward a consentrated effort in revival. We desperately need a revival in our churches in our own county and across this country. Do we need to minister to the "whole" person, as some say today? Yes we do. And yet, we better never forget that we are here to minister to the spiritual needs of man. I therefore am dedicating myself to a ministry of pushing the idea of going back to having revival meetings in our churches. An event which is fast becoming a thing of the past. I want to be a part of this ministry well after I have retired from the pastorate. I never plan to quit preaching on revival because I believe God still loves and wants to bless his people.
If I can be of help to you or your church, please don't hesitate to call. I am limited to how many Sundays I can be away, as long as I am still in the pastorate, but I hope to able to stay busy preaching revivals, conferences, special meetings, or filling in for pastors, after I do retire, which will depend on the leadership of God in my life. So please, let's all join in and pray for revival in our churches. Revival time is ideal for challenging the congregation to bring in new people and see them saved and see the church revived. I care not where it starts; care not which church; care not which preacher is preaching; but Dear God, rend the heavens and come down and send revival among your people!
