Beliefs

I am a Christian by grace and a Baptist by conviction.  In serving as pastor of 4 Southern Baptist churches over a period of  36 years, I have always supported and promoted the work of the SBC.  Each church I have served has increased the Cooperative Progiving as well as participated in the major mission offerings each year.  I have learned God blesses churches that are active in giving to as well as participating in missions.  Our church is involved on a regular basis in foreign, home local mission projects.

My Beliefs include:

2000 Baptist Faith & Message of SBC

My Basic Personal Beliefs: (for those of you who will not take time to read the BFM  above)

Pre-Millenial Return of Christ - Christ will return for His saints,  in the rapture and after the tribulation, return with his saints to rule 1000 years on His throne. 

Scriptures - To be the infallable, inerrant, inspired Word of God

Jesus - The virgin-born Son of God - God in human flesh. Shed His blood on Calvary to atone for our sin.

Trinity - God exists in Father, Son, Holy Spirit

Salvation - By grace, through repentance and faith in Christ's work on the cross.  Christ died for all who will accept him.

Security of the Believer - The person who receives Christ as personal Savior is eternally secure in Christ.
